The only way to enjoy life is through the One that gives life. Your getaway will not be fulfilling and enjoyable unless you allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in your vacation selection, your preparations, and during the vacation. Remember the past vacations of bad traffic, food, weather and even sickness. We still need Him even while on vacation! As a Child of God, we should never desire to be without Him. Take Him with you wherever you go. You will find out that whatever you plan to do in Him you will enjoy far better than attempting to leave Him out or behind. God loves us and desires to be with us during our family getaways. He is part of the family! Don’t worry, He is omnipresent. He can be at home looking after everything and at the same time with you helping you fully enjoy yourself. Just remember not to slam the door in His face while He desires to be with you on vacation. I don’t know about you, but I am looking forward to my vacation with Jesus. June '14 Letter

The news continues to ring out of a loving God who gave His Son to die for this world, and lives within the hearts of His people through the Holy Spirit. The wind is blowing, but not to the point of being catastrophic to us, but to the principalities and rulers of the darkness of this world. There is a story to tell and it is greater than any newscast that could be given. Read Luke chapter 2 of how the newscast should be spread. The angelic host was praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.’ This is not just a passage for Christmas, but should be an every day event to the world. Don’t be one who will be angry and upset that your summer fun is ending, but rather think of it in another way. I may have forgotten God at times and didn’t spend as much time with Him, but I am going to change from this day forth. I will enjoy God and our relationship every season of the year. I will put Him first and whatever I do, I will do as unto Him. August '14 Letter
